  • The Artifact

Designed and entirely hand-constructed by Emanuel Bianco. Grounded in Scandinavian architectural discipline and honed within the high-fashion ateliers of London and Milan, Luxury Scraps is a return to the origin of pure craft. Born in Sardinia and assembled in Apulia, this piece is a visceral, unrepeatable artifact—engineered with the precision of a structural designer, but crafted with the soul of an artisan.

    The Materials

A study in ethereal texture. Archive N25/019 is a 1-of-1 sculptural dress that explores the intersection of weightless movement and archival assembly. The bodice is a masterwork of textile curation, meticulously constructed from a collage of vintage ribbons, crisp taffeta, and intricate jacquard remnants—rescued fragments that lend the piece its structural soul.

The heart of the garment, however, is a vintage Italian silk discovered in a local market—a rare remnant featuring a complex, feathered appliqué technique. This specific fabric manipulation is a rarity today; its labor-intensive nature was once the hallmark of high-end Italian mills and archival Haute Couture, but is no longer cost-effective for modern production. Likely engineered to ensure no fiber of the precious silk was wasted, the resulting texture creates an unrivaled sense of motion.

Bridging these diverse textures is a personal design signature: the adjustable back ties, born from the designer’s forever obsession with vintage aprons. These ties allow the wearer to customize the fit, creating a daring, modern architecture that balances the historical richness of the jacquard with the fragile, shifting "feathers" of the archival silk.

All materials for this garment have been carefully regenerated and repurposed to create a unique, artisanal and one of a kind piece, impossible to replicate. Handmade in italy by the designer Emanuel Bianco.

  • THE UNIQUE JUXTAPOSITION OF THE CHIFFON BASE AND THE SHEER APPLIQUÉ FRAGMENTS REQUIRES EXTRA ATTENTION TO MAINTAIN ITS MAGICAL MOVEMENT.

PROFESSIONAL DRY CLEAN ONLY: DUE TO THE 90% SILK CONTENT AND THE DELICATE APPLIQUÉ TECHNIQUE, THIS DRESS SHOULD ONLY BE HANDLED BY A PROFESSIONAL CLEANER EXPERIENCED WITH HIGH-END SILK AND MULTI-TEXTURED GARMENTS.

HANDLE WITH CARE: THE SMALL PIECES OF SHEER CHIFFON THAT CREATE THE FEATHERED EFFECT ARE DELICATE; AVOID WEARING JEWELRY OR ACCESSORIES WITH SHARP EDGES THAT COULD SNAG THE FABRIC.

STEAMING FOR MOVEMENT: TO REVIVE THE "FEATHERS" AFTER STORAGE, USE A GARMENT STEAMER ON THE LOWEST SETTING FROM A DISTANCE. THE STEAM WILL HELP THE APPLIQUÉ LAYERS LIFT AND REGAIN THEIR FLUID MOTION.

STORAGE: STORE THE DRESS HANGING ON A WIDE, PADDED HANGER IN A BREATHABLE GARMENT BAG. AVOID FOLDING, AS THIS MAY CRUSH THE ORGANZA PLEATS OR FLATTEN THE FEATHERED TEXTURE.

AVOID DIRECT MOISTURE: KEEP THE DRESS AWAY FROM HEAVY RAIN OR SPILLS. SILK CHIFFON CAN WATER-SPOT EASILY, AND EXCESSIVE MOISTURE MAY AFFECT THE WAY THE APPLIQUÉ LAYERS SIT AGAINST THE BASE.
