Archive 25/012 is a tactile Leather journey through the late 20th century, curated into a single, unrepeatable silhouette. The design centers on a rare 1970s hand-carved brooch featuring ruby-glass details, of venetian manufacture, anchored upon 1990s Italian upholstery velvet in deep forest green—a nod to the opulent textures of archival interior design of Luxury Scraps.
The body explores a duality of touch, contrasting the buttery ease of velvet-finished yellow calf suede with the rugged, honest grain of rough-out brown suede. Inside, the history deepens with a lining of deadstock Scottish Gun Club Check wool, a heritage pattern born in the Highlands for the sporting elite.
Completed with our Signature Archival Bloom Charm in leather and 1980s vintage gold hardware, this piece is a labor of 'Archival Upcycling' by designer Emanuele Bianco. It is not merely a bag, but a fragment of history saved from the past to be carried into the future."
Designer´s note: “I found this exquisite brooch from one of my most trusted antique dealers. The hand carved details in a beautiful gold just worked perfectly with the yellow leather, and they create such a rich coloured palette which is typical of an Italian sunny day” E.B.
